Here are a few more pictures from a recent road trip to the Flint Hills of Kansas. Cottonwood Falls is one of our favorite towns to visit--we love the small town friendliness, the quaint streets and buildings, and of course the magnificent limestone Courthouse.
This was the first time I'd ever toured the courthouse and I encourage anyone who hasn't to DO SO! Be sure to check out the jail at the back.

Be sure to visit the shops and galleries in town, especially Jim Bell and Son's Western Store and have a bite to eat while you're there. The Emma Chase Cafe boasts fried catfish on Friday nights, or check out The Grand Central Grill for a delicious steak.
If you need a place to stay, check out the Grand Central Hotel, the various Bed and Breakfasts or stay at the remodeled Millstream Resort Motel that sits right next to the Cottonwood River.
